Pina Colada Smoothie

Now that the holidays are over, and the January cold is settling in, it is the perfect time for a sunny taste of the tropics.  This delicious pina colada smoothie has all of the rich, creamy flavor of everyone’s favorite beach cocktail but is loaded with healthy, anti-inflammatory ingredients that nourish the body rather than depleting it.  Plus when it is -15 and snowy outside, we all crave beach fix; fortunately, this little glass of sunshine is just 5 minutes away.

 

5 Minute Raw Pina Colada Smoothie via @bcnutritionista

 

Pina Colada Smoothie

1 medium ripe banana

1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple

1/2-3/4C raw coconut milk

1Tb raw hemp hearts

1/4 tsp Ground Vanilla Bean Powder

 

Combine all ingredients into a high-speed blender.  Blend on high until completely smooth, pour into your favorite pretty glass and add a bright fun drink umbrella and a wedge of fresh pineapple.  Enjoy!
